 Don't forget that the current UFC Photo Contest ends on June 30th!
The grand prize package includes a Mitchell 2000 XLT spinning reel, a Plano 3500 series 4-By Rack System tackle box, a huge sampler package of hand-poured custom plastic baits from Uptons Customs (including their giant 12" straight tail worm), a bottle of Nitro Gravy fish attractant, and a limited edition UFC hat (you can't buy this one) - total prize value $100.

To submit that photo to the contest go here and follow the instructions please. Don't mean to be a stickler, but we have to follow the rules so it's all on the "up and up".
Great shot, though! I've got a 7+ pound DVL holdover for my avatar. Caught it while Bass fishing with a tube bait!
Remember, y'all, the contest ends tomorrow night at 11:59:59 PT.
I'm loving this month's entries, btw! Gonna be a hard choice for me and the other judges, I'm sure.  |

I hate to break it to you Caveman, your fish ain't a holdover. The tails tips would have grown back more than that in a year. It looks more like a fresh stocker to me. I might be wrong though. My eyes are getting pretty poor in my old age. 
They are so bad that I cannot read all those rules in the fine print. |

You might be right, Alan. But, I thought they cut the adipose fin on the stockers. This one has a full on adipose. Plus, I thought DVL only planted DFG stockers, which are usually no more than 2-3 pounds max.
Anyway, here is a bigger version for those failing peepers.  BTW, the smile is definitely real!

I was the one holding the camera!
Josh Moreno and I thought Cave had hooked a nice striper, but as it thrashed about and nearly killed itself by whaling against the boat we saw the foolproof rainbow colors, ahhhhh what a sight that was!

You wanna borrow my Adobe Photoshop CD-ROM. It make blacking out the backgrounds real easy. |
